Job summary

CORTEN INTERIOR SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive Brand & Product Specifier to promote our tile brands and large-format tiles within the design and building industry in Singapore.

You will build relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and other industry professionals to drive product specification from initiation to completion. You will present products, provide technical information, identify project opportunities and coordinate with internal teams on

Qualifications

• Experience in product specification or sales for design/build industry.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with architects, designers and contractors.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, designers, developers, contractors, and industry professionals.
• Promote tile brands, large-format tiles and related products to clients and stakeholders.
• Identify new project opportunities and push product specifications.
• Conduct product presentations, showroom visits and product demonstrations.
• Provide accurate product information, technical specs, samples and recommendations.
• Advise clients on suitable tile products, finishes, sizes and applications.
• Follow up on specifications and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and work with sales to convert specs to sales.
• Coordinate with internal teams on availability, samples, quotes and requirements.
• Keep up to date with tile products, design trends and market developments.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and industry events as required.
• Maintain records of project leads, specifications and follow-ups.
• Perform other sales and business development duties as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and driven Brand & Product Specifier to promote our brands and products within the design and building industry. The role focuses on building relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and other industry professionals, and driving the specification of our tiles and large-format tiles for residential and commercial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting our products, providing product and technical information, identifying project opportunities, and following up with project stakeholders from the initial specification stage through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, contractors and other industry professionals.
• Promote the company’s tile brands, large-format tiles and related products to clients and project stakeholders.
• Identify new project opportunities and work towards getting the company’s products specified for suitable projects.
• Conduct product presentations, showroom visits and product demonstrations for architects, designers and clients.
• Provide accurate product information, technical specifications, samples and recommendations based on project requirements.
• Advise clients and designers on suitable tile products, finishes, sizes and applications.
• Follow up on specified projects and maintain regular communication with relevant project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and work closely with the sales team to convert specifications into actual sales.
• Coordinate with internal teams on product availability, samples, quotations and project requirements.
• Keep up to date with tile products, design trends, market developments and competitor activities.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, exhibitions and industry events when required.
• Maintain accurate records of project leads, specifications and follow-up activities.
• Perform other sales and business development duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in product specification, sales, business development or the building/interior design industry.
• Experience working with architects, interior designers, developers or contractors is an advantage.
• Experience with large-format tiles, sintered stone, laminates, architectural surfaces and other interior finishing materials is an advantage.
• Strong product presentation and communication skills.
• Confident and comfortable engaging with clients and industry professionals.
• Self-motivated, proactive and results-driven.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and follow-ups.
• Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits and industry events when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and preparing presentations and sales documents.
