Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a BMC Helix Discovery AMS Consultant with proven hands-on administration and support experience. The role focuses on enterprise-scale discovery operations, architecture, and CMDB synchronization in on-prem and cloud contexts.

You will work onsite with clients, applying knowledge of BMC Helix Discovery, TKU planning, and automation using scripting tools to implement reliable discovery services and data quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience with BMC Helix Discovery / ADDM.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Discovery operations in complex environments.
• Advanced knowledge of discovery architecture, taxonomy, and data-quality concepts.
• Scripting or automation using TPL and Python/PowerShell/SQL/REST.
• Experience with TKU planning, deployment, validation, remediation of pattern issues.
• Strong application/service modeling including service blueprints and dynamic models.

BMC Helix Discovery AMS Consultant

Work mode: Onsite

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• 7-10 years of relevant experience, including strong hands-on administration and support experience with BMC Helix Discovery / BMC Discovery (ADDM).


• Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale Discovery operations in complex, distributed, clustered, SaaS, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments.


• Strong Outpost administration skills covering installation, registration, configuration, upgrades, auto-update, connectivity, routing, credentials, logs, scopes, IP ranges, and troubleshooting.


• Advanced knowledge of discovery architecture, DDD, reasoning, taxonomy, node kinds, relationships, aging, modelser maintenance, consolidation, and data-quality concepts.


• Strong TPL and pattern-development skills, including pattern debugging, custom signatures, version control, testing, and safe deployment practices.


• Experience with TKU planning, deployment, validation, compatibility assessment, and remediation of pattern-related issues.


• Strong application/service modeling experience, including service blueprints, dynamic models, collaborative application mapping, and service-context validation.


• Experience in BMC Helix CMDB synchronization, class/attribute mappings, filters, reconciliation dependencies, and CI/relationship troubleshooting.


• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX administration, networking, DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, TLS/certificates, SNMP, SSH, WMI/WinRM, JDBC, REST APIs, and databases.


• Working knowledge of virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, storage, middleware, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.


• Scripting or automation experience using TPL plus one or more of Python, PowerShell, shell scripting, SQL, or REST-based automation.


• Experience working in Application Managed Services and/or consulting environments, including ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, release, and knowledge management.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, customer communication, and independent decision-making skills.


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
