Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. is seeking a biology-oriented professional to synthesize targeted genes and perform core molecular biology procedures. The role involves PCR, plasmid construction, sequencing, QC, and data analysis within a safety-conscious lab environment.

Candidates should have a strong foundation in molecular and cell biology, experience with genetic engineering techniques, and excellent teamwork and communication skills. A 5-day work week with 8-hour shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Biological/Life Sciences or related fields.
• Solid foundation in molecular biology and cell biology; familiarity with genetic engineering techniques (DNA isolation, PCR, plasmid design, sequence analysis).
• Strong sense of achievement, resilient and able to work under pressure.
• Team player with good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week with two rest days.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize targeted genes per customer requirements according to department rules.
• Perform PCR, ligation transformation, bacterial inspection, plasmid construction, quality inspection, and related procedures.
• Record data, analyze results and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety production regulations and SOPs; operate gene synthesis, vector construction, gene mutation, plasmid extraction, sequence analysis, sequencing, PCR and qPCR, reagent prep, quality checks.
• Identify and report production issues; collaborate with the team to resolve problems.
• Assist with handover of experiments and complete unfinished analyses.
• Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.
