Job summary

Axion Biosciences is seeking a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead the development of technology and AI capabilities for drug development, regulatory workflows and research operations across mainland China and ASEAN. The CTO will shape technology strategy, build scalable AI-enabled solutions and translate complex workflows into practical applications for biotech and pharmaceutical clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior technology leadership roles leading teams.
• Experience building AI or software solutions in life sciences, healthcare, pharma, biotech or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures and modern software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Axion's technology strategy and roadmap across AI, data infrastructure and platforms.
• Lead design and development of AI-enabled solutions for drug development, regulatory and research workflows.
• Develop AI systems for knowledge-intensive processes including research analysis and regulatory documentation.
• Architect and integrate AI with client and partner systems.
• Establish scalable technology frameworks adaptable across projects and regulatory environments.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of generative AI and other emerging technologies for life sciences.
• Establish governance for data, AI and technology with emphasis on security and auditability.
• Collaborate with scientific, regulatory and business teams to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Lead technology partnerships and vendor selection and manage resources and expenditure.
• Represent Axion in technology and industry engagements with clients and partners.
• Advise leadership on opportunities, priorities, risks and resourcing.
