A leading educational institution in Singapore is looking for an experienced Biology Teacher to prepare lesson plans, conduct classroom activities, and assess student progress. The ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor's degree in Biology and has 3 years of relevant teaching experience. Overview

St Francis Methodist School (International) – Bukit Timah. You will report to the Head of Department (Science) and your duties will include:

Responsibilities
  • Preparing Biology lessons and Scheme of Work according to the required syllabuses
  • Conducting learning activities in the classroom and laboratory
  • Setting and vetting examination papers
  • Invigilating tests and examinations
  • Marking assignments and examination scripts
  • Assessing and recording students’ progress according to department and school policies
  • Completing all administrative duties related to teaching Biology
  • Maintaining good communication with students, parents and colleagues
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from a university
  • A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Institute of Education (NIE) is a plus
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in Biology in a school setting
  • Familiar with Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, Cambridge IGCSE
  • Meticulous and well-organised
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
