Job summary

You will assist with stock management, purchases, and worksheet preparation, while ensuring safety guidelines are followed. Fluency in English and ability to communicate in French are valued for interactions with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Biology or science with substantial field experience.
• Strong biology knowledge; geology knowledge desired.
• Laboratory experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in English; ability to communicate in French is advantageous.
• Meticulous, organized, autonomous and adaptable; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare secondary biology practicals, set up equipment, and organize workbenches.
• Clean and return equipment after classes; manage chemicals as needed.
• Maintain stock of equipment and consumables; update inventories.
• Assist Laboratory Manager with purchasing and supplier quotes; check received goods.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety rules and protocols.
• Develop and update worksheets for practical courses.
