Job summary

A*STAR IHDP in Singapore seeks an early-career researcher to support data preprocessing, cleaning, analysis, and machine learning on wearable lifestyle data, genomics, and cardiovascular markers.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, applying statistical and computational methods, and contributing to reports and manuscripts. This role offers hands-on experience across multi-omics data analytics in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or related programming languages; familiarity with cloud computing (AWS) and prompt engineering.
• Prior exposure to statistical modelling using human health cohorts is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical and computational methods to analyse large datasets spanning longitudinal lifestyle markers, genomics, and cardiovascular disease markers.
• Implement effective data management and analysis pipelines across clinical, multi-omics, and wearable data within a hybrid AWS cloud environment.
• Identify patterns, correlations, and predictive insights to assess patient risk stratification and disease progression.
• Contribute to progress reports, presentations, and manuscript preparation.
• Present research findings in conferences.
• Collaborate closely with the wider research team to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
