Job summary

ATOMIC, an AI-enabled platform project within A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES, seeks a Computational Biology Research Associate to support bioinformatics analysis of large-scale omics datasets.

You will develop and maintain pipelines for RNA-seq and single-cell data, apply statistical and ML methods, and collaborate across computational and experimental teams to translate biological questions into analytical strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.
• Basic understanding of molecular biology, genomics, transcriptomics, or cell biology.
• Familiarity with RNA-seq or single-cell RNA-seq workflows preferred.
• Ability to maintain reproducible analysis workflows and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bulk RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq data with QC, normalization, clustering, and differential expression analyses.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning to identify patterns and biological signals.
• Develop, test, and maintain reproducible bioinformatics workflows and pipelines.
• Integrate AI-based methods to enhance data interpretation and hypothesis generation.
• Collaborate with experimental and computational team members to translate questions into analytical strategies.
• Document analysis steps and results to support reproducibility and communication.
• Contribute to ATOMIC platform development for scalable biological discovery.
