Job summary

Chemical Laboratory (Singapore) Private Limited is seeking a Biochemistry Supervisor to oversee the Biochemistry department, ensuring high standards of work and compliance with MOH guidelines, ISO15189 and CAP requirements.

The candidate will supervise specimen handling, validate results, maintain SOPs, and lead a team of Medical Technologists while coordinating with the Laboratory Manager on technical matters and reporting critical results promptly.

Qualifications

• Independent and a strong team player.
• Minimum 5 years of medical clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Biochemistry department staff to maintain high standards.
• Oversee specimen reception, preparation and packing of specimens as needed.
• Liaise with Laboratory Manager on validation and verification of all test results for critical reporting.
• Ensure compliance with MOH, ISO15189 and CAP requirements and maintain SOPs.
• Perform daily quality control checks and troubleshoot as required.
• Ensure documentation and records for traceability are maintained.
• Supervise and train Medical Technologists in technology know-how.
• Release results and liaise with doctors and customers on queries when needed.
• Monitor workload and adjust staffing to optimize productivity.
