Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore seeks a Research Asst/Fellow to coordinate biological sample operations and ensure governance across NHG Health sites. You will support sample tracking, data integrity, and collaboration between clinical and research teams.

This role involves developing SOPs, liaising with IRB/MRCA, managing budgets, and preparing programme documentation to advance patient-centered research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in sciences.
• Experience in programme or operations management in healthcare or research.
• Knowledge of biobanking, sample management, or genomics is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SOP development, IRB/MRCA processes, procurement, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end coordination of sample collection, processing, storage, and tracking across NHG Health sites.
• Maintain sample databases and inventory with data quality and integrity.
• Develop, implement, and maintain sample protocols and SOPs, ensuring team training and adherence.
• Coordinate with IRB, MRCA and governance bodies to support regulatory and ethical compliance.
• Coordinate procurement activities and monitor budgets for sample-related resources and services.
• Lead design, documentation, and optimisation of operational workflows to improve efficiency.
• Partner with clinical, research, and administrative teams to drive process improvements and resolve challenges.
• Prepare reports, updates, and programme documentation for stakeholders and leadership.
