Job summary

Black & White Engineering seeks an experienced BIM Manager to own ISO 19650‑compliant delivery on complex projects. You will lead BIM at the project level, coordinate with design teams and external stakeholders, and ensure information requirements are met through effective planning and governance.

You will oversee BIM execution planning, MIDP development, and CDE configuration, while mentoring junior staff and promoting knowledge sharing across regional hubs for consistent BIM delivery.

Qualifications

Job description

Are you an experienced BIM leader ready to take ownership of ISO 19650-compliant delivery on complex, mission-critical projects? Then this role is for you.

As BIM Manager, you will lead and manage BIM delivery on assigned projects, acting as the Lead Appointed Party under ISO 19650. You will ensure our BIM standards and client information requirements are met through effective planning, coordination, governance and quality assurance, working closely with design disciplines, project managers and external stakeholders.

Model authoring and production sit with our Global Design Hub, so you will focus on coordination, compliance and acceptance of information, acting as the primary BIM interface with the client.

BIM leadership and coordination

You will lead BIM delivery at project level, chairing coordination activities and acting as the primary BIM contact for clients and external stakeholders. You will apply our BIM strategy, standards and protocols, aligning delivery with wider project objectives.

Standards and compliance

You will hold the authority to challenge, reject or delay non-compliant information, ensuring BIM delivery meets ISO 19650 and relevant building services standards, including BSRIA BG6 where required. You will monitor compliance across the project lifecycle and report to BIM and project leadership.

Project planning and delivery

You will develop and maintain the project BIM Execution Plan and MIDP, confirming alignment with client Exchange Information Requirements. You will manage information delivery milestones, review Task Information Delivery Plans and coordinate resourcing with the Global Design Hub.

You will provide day-to-day guidance and technical leadership to project BIM staff, supporting their development and mentoring junior colleagues. You will contribute to performance reviews and help build consistent BIM capability across the team.

Digital delivery and technology

You will manage project-level Common Data Environment configuration in line with regional standards, ensuring information is issued, reviewed and approved through the CDE. You will support consistent use of BIM platforms across the Front Office and Global Design Hub, promoting knowledge sharing between teams.

• Proven leadership experience managing BIM teams and working with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Extensive experience in MEP BIM delivery across design and construction projects.
• Proven application of ISO 19650 on live projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM documentation, including BEPs, MIDPs and TIDPs.
• Strong technical background in building services engineering, with the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Advanced user of Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Practical knowledge of COBie and asset information delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a structured and proactive approach to managing delivery risk.
