Job summary

Rakuten Travel is seeking a Customer-focused Travel Consultant to assist our local partners in Singapore and the ASEAN region. You will manage hotel partnerships, promote plans, and ensure Rakuten members receive excellent service.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in hospitality or e-commerce, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, multicultural environment. English and Japanese language skills are valued for Japanese-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in hospitality, e-commerce, or related industries.
• Detail-oriented with ability to render online content and manage hotel rates/inventory.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-cultural environments with results.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and drive partnerships forward.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound travel from Japan by supporting contracts with hotels and promoting them to Rakuten members in Japan.
• Conduct situation analysis for partners (mainly hotel partners) and advise on win-win online travel plans.
• Plan and create accommodation plans on Rakuten Travel's Japanese-language website.
• Provide production support for online customized pages (training provided).
• Engage in business development to increase advertisement sales to partners.
• Provide customer service support for local partners.
