Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking an Assistant Manager for Bids and Business Development to support Prostruct with growth and delivery of security and engineering consultancy. Based at our SJ Campus, 38 Cleantech Loop, this role develops opportunities across security, protective design and critical infrastructure.

You will coordinate proposals, client engagement, and project mobilisation, while supporting commercial administration and business operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Security Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in business development, bid coordination, consultancy operations, project administration, or professional services (engineering, construction, infrastructure, built environment, or security consultancy preferred).
• Working understanding of the consultancy business cycle from lead identification to close-out.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical submissions, interpret tender requirements, and obtain inputs from security specialists, engineers, and project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate proposals, capability statements, presentations, and reports.
• Commercial awareness with consultancy fees, budgets, contracts, subconsultant costs, invoices, revenue forecasts and project performance data.

Responsibilities

• Market and opportunity development in security consultancy and protective design.
• Client and stakeholder engagement with developers, asset owners, government agencies, architects, and engineers.
• Manage expressions of interest, prequalifications, quotations, and tender submissions; coordinate inputs and deadlines.
• Support marketing materials and case studies for services such as security risk assessment and blast protection.
• Assist with fee build-ups, subconsultant quotations, contractual documentation, and revenue forecasting.
• Project mobilisation, resource schedules, deliverable registers, document control, and internal kick-offs.
• Monitor workload, programme, risks, changes, and actions; escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain CRM, tender, project, and commercial records; prepare pipeline and revenue reports.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, client security requirements, tender conditions and quality management.
