Kemuri Coffee Co. in Singapore is seeking a reliable Part-Time Barista to join our small, Japanese-inspired café. The role offers 1–2 days per week, with Mondays preferred, and a friendly team environment. You will prepare espresso-based drinks, matcha, hojicha, and assist with basic food service while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Training provided; experience in specialty coffee is a plus. Foreigners can apply. Compensation is a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience in specialty coffee preferred.
• Experience with espresso-based drinks and latte art.
• Willing to obtain WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certification before starting.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, matcha, hojicha and specialty drinks.
• Operate espresso machine and café equipment confidently.
• Provide warm, attentive customer service.
• Handle orders, POS transactions and cashless payments accurately.
• Manage daily café operations during solo shifts.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor ingredients, stock levels and replenishment needs.
• Support light food service when required.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and passionate Part-Time Barista to join our team on a flexible 1–2 days per week basis.

This role is ideal for an experienced barista seeking additional shifts or someone who enjoys working in a small, independent specialty café.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve consistently high-quality espresso-based beverages, matcha, hojicha and specialty drinks.

• Operate the espresso machine, grinders and other café equipment confidently.

• Provide warm, attentive and professional customer service.

• Handle customer orders, POS transactions and cashless payments accurately.

• Manage daily café operations independently when rostered for solo shifts.

• Perform opening and closing duties, including equipment setup and cleaning.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards throughout the café.

• Monitor beverage ingredients, stock levels and daily replenishment needs.

• Support light food service and other café duties when required.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a barista, preferably in a specialty coffee environment.

• Comfortable preparing espresso-based drinks and basic latte art.

• Ability to work independently and manage café operations during quieter shifts.

• Friendly, responsible, punctual and customer-oriented.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to work 1–2 days per week, preferably including Mondays.

• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certification, or willingness to obtain the required certification before commencing food-handling duties.
