Job summary

Cafe Yasuragi & Shoko at Millenia Walk in Singapore is seeking a friendly Barista/FOH team member. You will craft coffee and beverages, assist with customer service and support daily operations in a fast-paced café environment.

The role offers part-time or full-time hours, with on-site work and benefits such as staff meals, annual leave and health/dental coverage. Prior cafe experience and a positive, guest-focused attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Join our friendly team at Cafe Yasuragi and Shoko — a modern Japanese cafe and takeaway concept at Millenia Walk serving Japanese comfort food, coffee, matcha, desserts and drinks in a cosy environment.

We are looking for a Barista / Front-of-House team member who is passionate about coffee and beverages, while also being comfortable supporting customer service and general FOH duties.

The ideal candidate is warm, responsible and service-minded, enjoys interacting with guests, and is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment. Experience in preparing espresso-based coffee, matcha and other café beverages would be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Experience learning & crafting matcha, coffee and other beverages
• Ensure proper portioning, presentation and quality control for all beverages
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, coffee station and FOH areas throughout the shift
• Welcome and attend to customers warmly
• Explain menu items and ordering process
• Take customer orders and process payments
• Serve food and beverages
• Prepare selected food and drink items according to SOPs
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards
• Support daily outlet operations and other ad-hoc duties

Salary

Part-Time

• $12–15 per hour, depending on experience

Full-Time

• $2,600–$3,500 per month, depending on experience

Working Hours

Part-Time

• Flexible scheduling
• Up to 35 hours per week

Full-Time

• 45 hours per week
• Rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays

Requirements

• Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1 certification is mandatory
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards work
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
• Team player with good communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Able to work in a fast-paced cafe environment
• Able to commit weekends and public holidays where required

Preferred

• Prior F&B, cafe or hospitality experience
• Possess the skills of a qualified barista
• Experience in cashiering, customer service, coffee, matcha or beverage preparation
