Job summary

THE COFFEE ACADEMICS PTE. LTD. is seeking a passionate Barista to prepare quality beverages, deliver excellent customer service, and support smooth daily café operations at Millenia Walk, Singapore.

The role involves beverage preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining cafe cleanliness with a rotating 5-day schedule, including weekends and public holidays. Prior cafe experience is an advantage and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based coffee, tea, matcha, and other beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of café and workstation.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and inventory handling.

Location: Millenia Walk, Singapore

Salary: Up to S$3,500 per month

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth daily café operations.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare espresso-based coffee, tea, matcha, and other beverages according to company standards.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of coffee equipment.
• Assist with basic coffee calibration and workflow management.

Customer Service

• Greet and serve customers professionally.
• Take orders accurately and process payments through POS systems.
• Provide menu recommendations and product knowledge.
• Handle customer enquiries and feedback positively.

Café Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the café and workstations.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Support inventory management and stock receiving.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.

Teamwork

• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Support colleagues during peak service periods.
• Participate in training and development programs.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior café or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Working Hours

• 5-day work week
• Rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• 44 hours per week
