Qualifications

• Relevant experience in bar operations or a similar supervisory/management role.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, bar operations and inventory control.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the bar.
• Ensure smooth and efficient service while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Supervise, train and guide bartenders and bar service staff.
• Prepare and monitor staff schedules, duties and work assignments.
• Ensure proper preparation and presentation of beverages according to company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of beverages, ingredients and bar supplies.
• Conduct regular stock checks and minimise wastage and stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and rotation of beverages and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards within the bar area.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues professionally.
• Monitor sales performance and assist with achieving sales targets.
• Control operating costs and minimise unnecessary wastage.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure all staff comply with company policies, workplace safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Assist management with promotions, events and other operational activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
