Job summary

Dough & Grain is a modern bakery in Singapore seeking friendly, energetic individuals to join our growing team. You will greet customers, recommend products, handle orders and payments, and ensure a clean, well-presented outlet.

No bakery experience is required as training is provided; prior F&B or retail experience is a plus. Must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• F&B, bakery, cafe, retail or customer service experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system and handle cashless/cash transactions accurately.
• Perform opening and closing cashier duties when required.
• Assist with daily sales and cashier reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the bakery.
• Clean counters, shelves, equipment and dining areas as required.
• Support stock receiving, stock arrangement and inventory checks.
• Follow all company SOPs, food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Promote bakery products, new launches and special promotions.
• Recommend complementary products to customers where appropriate.
• Work towards individual and outlet sales targets.
• Support the team in achieving daily sales performance.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Service Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with product enquiries and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Take customer orders and process payments accurately. Handle customer feedback and enquiries professionally. Ensure customers have a pleasant experience at the bakery.


2. Bakery & Product Handling Display breads, pastries and other bakery products neatly and attractively. Replenish products and maintain proper product presentation throughout the day. Check product freshness, quality and expiry dates. Pack bakery products according to company standards. Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.


3. Cashier & POS Operations Operate the POS system and handle cashless/cash transactions accurately. Perform opening and closing cashier duties when required. Ensure accurate billing and payment collection. Assist with daily sales and cashier reconciliation.


4. Outlet Operations Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the bakery. Clean counters, shelves, equipment and dining areas as required. Assist with opening and closing of the outlet. Support stock receiving, stock arrangement and inventory checks. Follow all company SOPs, food safety and hygiene requirements.


5. Sales & Upselling Promote bakery products, new launches and special promotions. Recommend complementary products to customers where appropriate. Work towards individual and outlet sales targets. Support the team in achieving daily sales performance.


6. Teamwork Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist team members during peak periods. Communicate effectively with the Outlet Manager/Supervisor. Maintain a positive and cooperative working environment.

Requirements

• No prior bakery experience is required; training will be provided.


• Previous experience in F&B, bakery, café, retail or customer service will be an advantage.
