Job summary

Vanderlande in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of the airport baggage handling system and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs, and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints. PLCs knowledge is advantageous, with emphasis on safety and on-site rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Experience with baggage handling systems or similar equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to read manuals and blueprints.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical control panels, drives, and PLCs is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to handle on-site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the Baggage Handling System (BHS) equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within the BHS system swiftly and effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Comply with customer site rules and regulations, fostering a positive client relationship.
• Assist in equipment modification, replacement, and the installation of new assets.
• Stay updated with the latest BHS technologies and actively participate in relevant training sessions.
