Job summary

Vanderlande Industries Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to ensure reliable operation of airport baggage handling and passenger boarding bridge systems.

You will perform expert maintenance and troubleshooting to support seamless travel experiences. The role requires 2+ years in mechanical and electrical maintenance, safety-driven practices, and the ability to work 24/7 across multiple shifts in secured environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Certifications in electrical and/or mechanical systems from accredited institutions.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges.
  • Apply safe work practices, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  • Support service calls to resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Identify root causes of failed software components or interfaces and provide solutions.
  • Communicate maintenance activities clearly and effectively; work independently.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will ensure the reliable operation of airport baggage handling and passenger boarding bridge systems, contributing to a seamless travel experience through expert maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges following electrical drawings, manuals, and manufacturer specifications
  • Apply safe work practices consistently, including strict compliance with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
  • Support execution of service calls to resolve equipment issues promptly
  • Identify root causes of failed software components or interfaces and provide effective solutions
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities based on staff and system needs
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Work independently while demonstrating a proactive approach and strong work ethic
  • Handle physical demands including frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting items over 50 pounds during maintenance tasks
  • Operate in secured baggage handling areas, repair stations, airfields, and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
Required competencies and certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Continued education through certifications in electrical and/or mechanical systems from accredited colleges, vocational schools, or OEMs appropriate to the job level
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to mechanical, electrical, and software components
  • Versed in operations and maintenance of complex electromechanical systems
  • Customer and service-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to work 24/7 shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Other Information

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time; 24/7 operation with 3 shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mid-shift). Flexibility required for overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Technicians work in secured baggage handling areas, repair stations, or airfields under strict deadlines. The role requires frequent physical activity such as bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting over 50 pounds. Exposure to mechanical parts, vibration, and outdoor weather conditions is common.
