Job summary

Visa Hunt in Singapore is seeking a motivated backend developer to join our software team. You will help build and maintain backend web services, databases, and CMS while exploring AI, ML and data analytics.

The role covers design, development, security, testing, and deployment, with focus on high-volume, low-latency systems and near-zero production incidents. Diploma in CS or related field welcomed, including candidates with strong backend knowledge but no experience.

Qualifications

Diploma in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Candidates with no work experience but strong backend knowledge are welcome to apply.
Experience in software implementation, requirements gathering, systems analysis and functional design.
Good communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to quickly grasp concepts relating to customization.

Responsibilities

Produce and manage backend web services, databases, and content management systems.
Develop, maintain and secure IT software and applications.
Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems with high availability.
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and improve code quality.
Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging.
Enforce best practices in code quality and release/deployment to minimize incidents.
Design and work with backend technology, security, Web API and payment gateway.
