Job summary

Apple is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for Enterprise Technology Services. You will design and develop highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems handling petabytes of data and millions of transactions per hour.

Responsibilities include architecture, design and rollout of new features, development around data services, evaluating emerging technologies, and maintaining the existing platform. Candidates should have strong Java/J2EE background and experience with cloud/data engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE stack.
• Experience building integration platforms.
• Expertise in developing highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB).
• Unix/Linux knowledge.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating products, emerging technologies and integrating them into projects.
• Responsibility includes operation and maintenance of the existing platform.
