Job summary

Apple Singapore’s Emerging Technologies team seeks a self‑directed Software Engineer to design and develop the control plane of a security platform. You will collaborate with Data Plane and cross‑functional teams to build high‑performance, scalable distributed systems and novel features for threat protection.

The role emphasizes hands‑on coding, JVM tuning, and RESTful services, with leadership expectations in data engineering, platform engineering, and end‑to‑end system ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Mastery of Core Java, OOP, multithreading, collections, and exception handling.
• Experience with Hibernate or JPA for object‑relational mapping.
• Proficient in building RESTful web services and APIs.
• Expertise in JVM tuning, profiling, and optimizing Java applications.
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Good understanding of IP networking, BGP, NAT, and TCP/IP.
