Job summary

Apple is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for Enterprise Technology Services. You will design and develop highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems handling petabytes of data and millions of transactions per hour.

Responsibilities include architecture, design and rollout of new features, development around data services, evaluating emerging technologies, and maintaining the existing platform. Candidates should have strong Java/J2EE background and experience with cloud/data engineering.

Qualifications

The IS&T Enterprise Technology Services, which enables Apple through paradigm-shifting, global-scale platforms and services, is currently in search of a highly motivated and results-driven software engineer. This role requires an individual with exceptional development and analytical abilities who has a proven history of designing and developing highly scalable, low-latency, and distributed systems and platforms.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of complex system architectures and possess a track record of delivering robust, high-performance solutions. This position demands not only technical proficiency but also a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving outstanding results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with service integration Sync/ASync using REST/SOAP over HTTP /gRPC is a plus
• Experience working with AliCloud/Alibaba Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with actor systems like Pekko is a plus.
• Experience with contributing to Apache open source projects is a plus.
• Programming in Python, Lua and GO Lang is a Plus.

Minimum Qualifications
