Job summary

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system, is expanding its Billing team in Singapore. You will design and implement backend systems that power billing workflows, including pricing, invoicing, and quote-to-cash, ensuring accuracy and high availability.

You will collaborate with product teams to shape technical direction and build scalable architecture. You will own the architecture of distributed services, drive engineering practices, and contribute to delivering reliable platforms

Qualifications

3+ years of core Java development for large-scale systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong Java 8, multithreading, and high concurrency.
Experience with design patterns and distributed systems.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and implementation of backend systems for the billing platform.
Partner with Product and business teams to shape technical direction.
Build reliable microservices components for pricing, invoicing, and quote-to-cash.
Own architecture of distributed systems with high concurrency and financial accuracy.
Advocate coding standards and clear design practices.
Collaborate with teams and operate in Singapore office five days a week.
