Senior Frontend Architect — React/TypeScript (Billing)

Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a skilled Frontend Architect to join the Billing team in Singapore. You will build the next-generation billing platform and customer integration tools with React, TypeScript, and a modern frontend stack.

You will design micro-frontends, collaborate on a shared design system, and contribute to TDD/CI/CD practices while working with Node.js and GraphQL services. This role requires ownership of the roadmap and strong cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with 2+ years in frontend architecture.
• Experience building large-scale financial web systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, ES6+, and TypeScript.
• Proficient with React, Vue, Angular and associated stacks.
• Experience with Emotion, styled-components, SCSS.
• Familiarity with Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap 3, or similar CSS frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Webpack, polyfills, and Rollup.js.
• Experience building backend-for-frontend services with Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend roadmap and technical direction for billing platform components.
• Develop high-quality frontend code with React/TypeScript and modern practices.
• Build micro-frontend web apps using domain-based architecture and single-SPA.
• Collaborate with Design to create a shared design system and reusable components.
• Deliver reusable libraries, widgets, and open-source pieces to ease integrations.
• Deploy frontends and services using cloud, CI/CD, and container tooling.
• Increase test coverage with React Testing Library and Cypress.
• Work across time zones with a distributed team in APAC and EMEA.
