Job summary

Abnormal AI is hiring a hands-on Software Engineer for Identity Security Posture Management. You will build backend services in Go, scale distributed systems, and contribute to design and architecture with senior engineers.

You will work on backend data processing, evaluation logic, and posture scoring, collaborating with a distributed team across India and Singapore to deliver secure identity solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience with backend focus.
• Extensive backend production experience with Go and multi‑tenant systems.
• Strong system design skills for scalable, event‑driven architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar streaming tech.
• Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL and data modeling for multi‑tenant workloads.
• Strong communication, able to document trade‑offs and designs.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take defined problems from product requirements and deliver backend solutions end‑to‑end, from data modeling through APIs and evaluation logic.
• Contribute to core identity security posture system design and review technical design documents.
• Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and edge-case trade‑offs.
• Uphold engineering best practices across testing, code quality, API design, and observability.
• Construct and scale high‑performance backend services using Go, including event‑driven systems and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Model and optimize database schemas for large‑scale multi‑tenant workloads.
• Implement event‑driven workflows with Kafka and manage asynchronous processing.
• Collaborate with TL/PM and engineers to align on scope and deliver quarterly milestones.
