Job summary

Abnormal AI in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer I to help design and maintain high-volume ingestion and low-latency services across global infrastructure. You will contribute to the Federated Intelligence Platform, working on production-quality systems in an AI-native environment.

This role emphasizes collaboration with multiple teams, learning, and growing toward more senior levels while applying modern languages like Python, Go, or TS/JS, and leveraging AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or production systems.
• Proficient in at least one modern language (Python, Go, or TS/JS).
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and version control.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL storage and schema design.
• Cloud infrastructure and container orchestration with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Clear communication in a remote, distributed team.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-volume ingestion and low-latency services.
• Ship features end-to-end from design to rollout with guidance.
• Improve reliability, performance, and code quality.
• Assist with runbooks, debugging, and incident handling.
• Collaborate with partner teams to align upstream and downstream systems.
• Use AI tools in development while ensuring quality.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Seek feedback and take on progressively larger work.
