Job summary

Abnormal AI is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to strengthen its Identity Security platform. You will build and scale backend services in Go, design multi-tenant data models, and implement event-driven workflows using Kafka while collaborating with a distributed team across India and Singapore.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development with ~2 years backend production
• Go backend production experience with idiomatic design and tests
• Strong multi-tenant, event-driven distributed systems
• Kafka or similar high-throughput event streaming
• SQL and PostgreSQL proficiency for multi-tenant data modeling
• Strong communication to document trade-offs and collaborate with TL/PM
• Comfort with ambiguity and partial data, quick iteration
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into backend solutions end-to-end
• Design core identity posture systems and write design documents
• Participate in architectural reviews and trade-off discussions
• Build scalable backend services in Go with REST/gRPC, tests
• Model databases for large-scale multi-tenant workloads
• Implement Kafka-based event-driven workflows
• Maintain reliability with runbooks, feature flags, monitoring
• Collaborate with TL/EM and engineers to plan and deliver milestones
• Participate in on-call and incident response
