Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is hiring a backend-focused engineer to design, build, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs for the COMPASS platform. The role emphasizes scalable microservices, secure data handling, and API integration with various data sources.

You will collaborate with frontend, data teams, and stakeholders, while following Agile practices and contributing to production operations, security, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend software development for enterprise-grade applications.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java with strong RESTful API design.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and backend integration services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs powering the COMPASS platform.
• Develop scalable, secure backend services and integration components.
• Create and manage scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Integrate with upstream and downstream systems, devices, and data sources.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and data integrity.
• Develop data processing, transformation, and analytics services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for reliability and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with frontend, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Ensure authentication, authorization, and security best practices in backend systems.
• Support testing, deployment, and production operations.
