Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a talented full-stack developer to design, build, test, and maintain web applications and backend services for the COMPASS platform.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers and business users, implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, using Docker, Kubernetes, and modern frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in fullstack development for enterprise web applications.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks and HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Backend development experience with Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services supporting the COMPASS platform.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features.
• Design reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices including responsive design and accessibility.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with security requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

What the officer will be doing?

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and backend services supporting the COMPASS platform:
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and user interfaces for COMPASS platform.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimisation, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with LTA security requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and business users to improve application usability and user experience.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver solutions and support knowledge sharing across the project team.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in fullstack application development and building enterprise‑grade web applications
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as:
  • ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js,
  • or equivalent frameworks.
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using:
  • Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot
• Experience implementing frontend best practices including:
  • Responsive design
  • Accessibility
  • Performance optimisation
  • Component-based architectures
  • State management
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, API integration, and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud‑native applications on AWS, with familiarity in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
