Job summary

Tencent Finance is seeking a backend-focused developer to join the team in Singapore. You will participate in backend development for global Finance IT systems, including API and database design, and contribute to system integration and performance enhancements.

You will also help implement AI applications in real Finance IT scenarios, support deployment and testing, and collaborate with analysts and other tech teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Solid Java fundamentals and experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with MySQL, RESTful APIs, and Git.
• Interest in AI/LLMs and practical applications.

• 1. Backend Development Participate in backend development for global Finance IT systems, including feature design, coding, API development and system integration Contribute to API, database and system module design, and continuously improve system performance and stability Support system testing, deployment, troubleshooting and technical documentation
• 2. AI Application Implementation Participate in the development and implementation of AI applications in real Finance IT scenarios, including intelligent Q&A, document/invoice processing, intelligent review and data analytics Help integrate LLM capabilities with existing business systems, APIs, knowledge bases and data sources Support AI application PoCs, development and evaluation, including accuracy, performance and stability testing Leverage AI coding tools to improve development, testing and troubleshooting efficiency
• 3. Testing & Deployment Support Participate in functional testing, system integration and regression testing Support technical issue resolution during deployment and continuously optimize existing features Collaborate with Business Analysts, business users and other technical teams to deliver solutions

Who We Look For

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related computing discipline (postgraduate or advanced undergraduate students encouraged to apply) Solid Java programming fundamentals and familiarity with Spring / Spring Boot Familiar with MySQL, with basic database design and SQL skills Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, Git and software development processes Strong interest in AI / LLMs and their practical applications Strong logical thinking, learning ability and teamwork skills Good English reading, writing and communication skills to communicate with regional stakeholders; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for cross-team collaboration Able to commit to at least 6 months, 5 days per week Nice to Have Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, OCR or other AI application projects Knowledge of microservices, Redis, message queues or other backend technologies Experience with enterprise systems, Finance, or Travel & Expense related projects
