Job summary

HSBC Life Singapore is seeking an Assistant Vice President, HNW Underwriting to lead medical, financial and residency risk assessments for high-net-worth clients, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and delegated authority limits.

You will manage referrals with reinsurers, build strong relationships with partners, train junior underwriters and contribute to new product development and internal quality audits.

Qualifications

• Strong underwriting experience in life, disability and critical illness insurance with minimum 5 years specializing in HNW.
• University Degree or ALU / FALU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical, financial and residency risk assessments per guidelines and delegated authority.
• Manage referral processes with reinsurers for ultra large risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners to resolve underwriting queries.
• Train junior underwriters and contribute to internal quality audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
