Job summary

GIC Private Limited is seeking an Associate/AVP for Futures & Collateral Management Operations in Singapore. You will manage margining, collateral optimization, and service delivery across derivatives and securities activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 3-5 years experience in Operations, preferably handling Derivatives Operations and Collateral Management.
• Inquisitive and curious, detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, multitasking, excellent communication skills and possess a drive for excellence.
• Constantly keep up to date with industry developments, resourceful. Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• A good team player who collaborates well with internal and external counterparts, self-motivated and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
• Some experience interacting with investment professionals and business managers is an added advantage, but not a pre-requisite.
• Ability to identify issues and propose solutions to ensure smooth closure.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL skills are advantageous.
• Knowledge of leveraging AI toolkits is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Margin Processing and Portfolio Reconciliation: Ensure exposures for margined products including derivatives are managed timely and accurately.
• Inventory Management: Support securities financing activities and margin/collateral optimization.
• Service Management: Monitor and enhance service delivery from counterparties, brokers, triparty agents and custodians.
• Operational Efficiency and Risk Reduction: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• System Enhancements and AI Integration: Participate in upgrades, automation, and testing; leverage AI for data analysis.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with Asset Departments, Traders, Risk and Corporate Services teams.
• New Product and Market Implementation: Evaluate and implement new margin workflows for new products/markets.
