Job description

Great Eastern is reshaping how we serve our customers and enable our advisors, with digital, data and AI at the core of how we operate across the enterprise. The transformation cuts across businesses and functions and delivering it depends on an integrated view of how the many moving parts come together.

As AVP, Digital Platforms Programme Management, you will hold that view and drive the programme forward. This is a tech-enabled business transformation role for someone who can bring structure to complexity and create the alignment and momentum needed to deliver at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end programme delivery across business and technology, covering scope, sequencing, milestones, critical path and delivery quality.
  • Drive the programme prioritisation and investment planning process, from business case and funding through to business outcomes and benefits realisation.
  • Lead the programme control tower as the single source of truth for delivery, risk, investment and outcomes, including the governance cadence and executive and Board-level reporting.
  • Identify and manage cross-platform dependencies and impacts across digital customer platforms, digital distribution platforms, operations and enterprise AI capabilities, keeping integrated customer and advisor journeys coherent.
  • Drive resolution of cross-workstream issues and decisions that impede delivery, escalating where executive intervention is required.
  • Lead programme-level engagement with support functions including Finance, Risk, Legal, HR and Procurement, and manage delivery partners and vendors commercially against agreed scope, cost and outcomes.
  • Drive market readiness and adoption, applying a common operating model across markets with local adaptation where product, regulation or distribution requires it.
We are looking for people who
  • Have delivered large, multi-workstream transformation programmes end to end in complex organisations.
  • Drive pace and execution in environments with substantial work already in flight and competing priorities.
  • Exercise strong judgement in ambiguous environments, knowing what requires intervention, what can be resolved within a workstream and what requires senior escalation.
  • Combine business, operational and commercial understanding with sufficient fluency in digital, data and AI to engage credibly with specialist teams.
  • Are rigorous about status, risk and dependency management, and communicate with clarity at executive and Board level.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across business, distribution, operations and technology without direct authority.
  • Have typically 8+ years of relevant experience in transformation, programme delivery, business change or consulting, within insurance, banking or another regulated business, and hold a degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Recognised programme delivery or change management certifications and experience working across multiple markets will be advantageous.
How you succeed
  • - Champion and embody our Core Values in everyday tasks and interactions.
  • - Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability.
  • - Take initiative to drive improvements and embrace change.
  • - Take accountability of business and regulatory compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.
  • - Keep abreast with industry trends, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats and technologies to understand and highlight potential concerns/ risks to safeguard our company proactively.
