Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is hiring an AV Technician to install, configure, and test audiovisual systems for meetings and events at our Singapore onsite location. You will provide on-site technical support, troubleshoot issues, and operate audio-visual gear during live events as needed.

You will work with facilities, IT, and event management teams, document procedures, and keep accurate records of equipment and service logs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience with commercial AV systems.
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment including projectors, displays, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing platforms, and control systems.
• Understanding of signal flow, audio mixing, video switching, and system integration.
• Familiarity with IP-based AV systems and ability to read technical diagrams/schematics.

AV Technician Job Description Position Overview

Installation and Setup

• Install, configure, and test audiovisual equipment including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing units, and control systems
• Set up AV equipment for meetings, events, presentations, and conferences
• Ensure all equipment is properly connected, calibrated, and functioning before events

Technical Support and Operations

• Provide on-site technical support during meetings, events, and presentations
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV equipment issues quickly and efficiently
• Operate sound, lighting, and video equipment during live events when required
• Respond to service requests and support tickets in a timely manner

Maintenance and Quality Assurance

• Perform routine maintenance and testing of AV systems and equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they occur
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and service logs
• Ensure all systems meet quality and performance standards

Collaboration and Documentation

• Work closely with facilities, IT, and event management teams
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on basic AV system operation
• Document technical procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides
• Recommend upgrades and improvements to existing AV infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on experience with commercial AV systems
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment including projectors, displays, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx), and control systems
• Understanding of signal flow, audio mixing, video switching, and system integration
• Familiarity with network fundamentals and IP-based AV systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and system schematics
