Job summary

RES is seeking a Project Manager II to independently lead complex ecological restoration projects from planning through delivery. You will work from RES regional offices or field hubs and collaborate with internal scientists, engineers, construction teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

Travel is expected up to 25–50% to support kickoffs, field execution, and regulatory milestones. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in engineering/construction/environmental project work, 3+ years PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field—or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering, construction, or environmental project work
• 3+ years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
• Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
• Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
• Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
• Comfort working in field settings, construction zones, and regulatory environments

Responsibilities

• Lead restoration projects through every phase—from opportunity development to construction close-out
• Develop project schedules, build and manage budgets, lead cross-functional team meetings
• Ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks; track performance using BMPs and project plans
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspect active sites, and communicate updates with clients and regulators
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team
