Job summary

STRIDES Premier in Singapore seeks an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and optimal performance. The ATO will use diagnostics and tools to identify issues and carry out required repairs.

You will work under supervision, perform basic maintenance including oil and filter changes, tyre services, service the air conditioning, and follow strict safety procedures while communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in automotive or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform basic maintenance such as oil change, filter change, tire change, and fluid services.
• Able to perform maintenance and repair on the air conditioning.
• Follow strict safety procedures in the workshop.
• Use specialized diagnostics and tools to troubleshoot and pinpoint the root causes of problems.
• Able to service the air conditioning system.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs, and cost estimates, and addressing customers' questions and concerns.
• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
• Specialize in specific areas of automotive repair if applicable.
• Carry out servicing as tasked by Supervisor & adhere to the servicing duration.
• Carry out troubleshooting on electrical portion.
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by Manager / Supervisor

Job Purpose

This role is for Strides Premier (joint venture between Strides and Premier).

The ATO will be required to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe and optimal operating condition. Here are the details, including but not limited to:

• Vehicle Inspection: Thoroughly inspecting vehicles to identify issues or malfunctions, both through visual examination and using diagnostic equipment.


• Diagnosis: Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles. This includes using diagnostic tools and interpreting error codes.


• Repairs: Conducting necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, such as engine repairs, brake system repairs, transmission repairs, and more, to ensure vehicles function correctly and safely.
