Job summary

ANTAS PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will design, execute and maintain functional and automated tests for web applications across SIT/UAT/Production environments.

You will leverage Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, Selenium and Serenity within an Agile CI/CD setup, analyze failures, report defects, and drive quality improvements with ownership and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computing or engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in testing of web applications.
• Dedicated, committed, and results oriented team player with strong initiative and ownership.
• Good inter-personal and analytical skills.
• Familiar with Agile software development lifecycle.
• Familiar with Web Application Automation Testing and related techniques (smoke, DB testing, integration, regression, UAT).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of QA principles, methods and processes.
• Knowledge of test automation principles, methods and frameworks.
• Able to independently analyse automation failures and implement fixes.

Responsibilities

• Determine requirements and specifications of applications or systems to be tested.
• Develop records of all functional test cases, results, and test data via Test Automation and Jira Zephyr.
• Plan, estimate, prioritize, monitor and coordinate testing activities.
• Provide daily reports on UAT testing status.
• Develop, maintain and enhance test automation scripts; execute existing scripts in the regression suite.
• Analyse client requirements and processes by document analysis, interviews, and workflow analysis.
• Develop and modify systems to meet client needs and support business specifications.
• Ensure quality across SIT, UAT, Performance and Production environments.
• Involve in test scenarios, test cases, test execution (Unit/Integration/System/DB/Regression).
• Troubleshoot failures across apps, automation framework, environments and data.
• Identify, document, report and track defects; coordinate with teams for resolution and retesting.

Responsibilities

• Determine the requirements and specifications of applications or systems to be tested.
• Develop a record on all functional test cases, results, and test data via Test Automation and also on Jira Zephyr.
• Performed estimation, planning, prioritizing, progress monitoring and coordination of testing activities.
• Provided daily reports on UAT testing status.
• Develop, Maintain, and Enchance Test Automation Scripts, execute the existing Automation Scripts in the Regression Suite.
• Analyse client's business requirements and processes through document analysis, interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis.
• Provide input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develop business specifications to support these modifications.
• Responsible for Quality of application in multiple environments. (SIT, UAT, Performance and Production)
• Involved in the test scenarios, test case, test execution. (Unit, Integration, System, DB and Regression, defect review and test data Preparation)
• Troubleshot test failures across application, automation framework, environments, and test-data.
• Identify, document, report, and track defects, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in computing or engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• An experienced test engineer with 2-5 years of experience in web applications
• Dedicated, committed, and resulted oriented team player with strong initiative and ownership.
• Good inter-personal and analytical skills.
• Familiar with Agile software development lifecycle.
• Familiar with Web Application Automation Testing Development and Testing techniques such as smoke testing, database testing, integration testing, white and black box testing, regression testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods and processes.
• Knowledge of test automation principles, methods and frameworks.
• Able to independently analyse automation failures and implement appropriate script fixes where required.
• Knowledge in functional test, preferably with domain knowledge of banking or financial sector.
• Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, Selenium.
• Experience with agile processes, testing within agile teams.
• Experience with executing software testing within CI/CD processes.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Serenity).
