Job summary

AEM SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer (Automation System) to design, develop, and maintain software for semiconductor equipment automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into robust software solutions.

The role emphasizes C# and PLC programming, unit testing, and adherence to quality processes. You will also contribute to training materials and field service enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in software development, preferably in industrial automation or semiconductor equipment.
• Strong programming skills in C# and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and validation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and clarify customer requirements and specifications, and prepare Software Design Documents
• Develop PLC code and C# applications following established software development standards
• Leverage in-house software libraries and development tools to improve development efficiency
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software functionality and reliability
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices
• Ensure compliance with AEM Software Quality Processes and HSE requirements
• Develop training materials for system setup and conduct training for Field Service teams
