Job summary

EPAM SYSTEMS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain automated tests for web applications. You will collaborate with developers and QA to define test strategies for user journeys and APIs, run and triage automated suites, and continuously improve the automation framework.

This role emphasizes Cypress/Watermelon, JavaScript or Python, and Oracle database validation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building UI test automation with Cypress or Watermelon.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for test development.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger.
• Experience with Oracle database validation and SQL-based checks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for web applications.
• Partner with engineers and QA to define test strategy and coverage for user journeys and APIs.
• Run automated test suites, triage failures and raise clear defects with actionable detail.
• Improve automation frameworks, coding standards and shared utilities through code reviews.
• Validate batch job execution, scheduling behavior, error handling and output files.
• Perform Oracle database checks to confirm data integrity and transformation outcomes.
• Support cutover and rollback activities with smoke tests, verification steps and post-release checks.
• Carry out Windows Server testing support including service checks, log reviews and environment configuration.

What You’ll Do

What Will Make You Shine

• Hands-on experience building UI test automation with Cypress or Watermelon
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for test development and maintenance
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or Swagger and related validation approaches
• Experience with Oracle database validation including SQL-based checks
• Familiarity with version control and continuous integration such as Git and Jenkins
• Understanding of testing practices, defect management and quality risk assessment
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams with shared ownership of outcomes
