Job summary

Shimano Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical control systems for machinery, prepare BOM, and manage procurement and supplier relations. You will wire and route control panels, develop PLC and HMI programs, and troubleshoot commission systems across Asia.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical design with PLC programming, strong PLC/HMI skills (Mitsubishi, Omron), and experience in AutoCAD/DraftSight.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design and PLC programming
• Strong in PLC and HMI Programming (Mitsubishi, Omron)
• Skill in Electrical Circuit Drawing and Electrical Panel Design with AutoCAD /DraftSight is preferred
• Robot Programming(Yaskawa, ABB, Fanuc, Nachi)
• Expertise in Labview Programming, C++, Communication Protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, RS232,CCLink, DeviceNet) will be advantages
• Preferably knowledge of Electrical Power Systems and Instrumentation Control
• Experience in Machine Vision (2D-3D-Bin Picking) with Robotics Integration will be added advantage
• To travel around Asia Regions if needed

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for machinery and equipment
• Prepare BOM and participate in procurement and supplier management
• Perform electrical wiring and routing of control panels and machinery
• Responsible for PLC and HMI programs for machinery and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug and commission control systems of machinery and equipment
• Manage and liaise with project team members and suppliers
• Prepare and present project proposals / updates to internal businessowners
• Responsible for value-added engineering projects and contributing ideas for improvement
• Any Ad hoc projects / duties as assigned
