Job summary

RRecruiter in Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer to define technical specs for contractors and lead machine start-up, testing, and commissioning activities. You will prepare SLDs, control schematics, and PLC/HMI programming, ensuring projects meet timelines and quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of automation experience, hands-on Siemens PLC/WinCC skills, and knowledge of control panel design. Travel overseas may be required to support project execution and commissioning.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
3–5 years of relevant automation experience.
Hands-on Siemens PLC and WinCC programming experience.
Knowledge of control panel design.
Familiarity with control systems, electrical schematics, and motor controls.

Responsibilities

Define technical specifications and scope of work for contractors.
Lead machine start-up, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Prepare and manage Single Line Diagrams (SLD), control schematics, and PLC/HMI programming.
Ensure projects are completed within the agreed timeline.
Prepare technical documentation and provide support to the installation team.
Travel overseas as required to support project execution and commissioning.
