Job summary

Randstad Singapore is partnering with a plastics injection molding contract manufacturer to hire an Automation & Robotics Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will oversee automation systems, diagnose and fix technical issues, and drive process control improvements to ensure efficiency and product quality.

You will also lead FAT, SAT, and IOPQ testing and work closely with production and engineering teams. Shift work from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3-4-4-3 pattern.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience, especially in plastics injection molding.
• Experience with automation, robotics, and process controls.
• MedTech or medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

about the job

• Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing automation and robotics systems to ensure optimal daily performance.
• Actively diagnose and troubleshoot technical, mechanical, and electrical issues to minimize machine downtime.
• Implement and refine process control strategies to uphold strict standards of efficiency and product quality in a hands-on, dynamic environment.
• Lead and execute comprehensive equipment testing and validation activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualification (IOPQ).
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to execute electrical engineering tasks and seamlessly integrate new automation technologies.

skills & experience required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production setting, with specific expertise in plastic injection molding.
• Prior experience working in a MedTech or medical device manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in automation, robotics, process control, and electrical engineering principles.
• Must be comfortable working permanent shift work from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,operating on a 3-4-4-3 shift pattern
