Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer for a 1-year contract in Singapore to improve workflows in a med device manufacturing plant. You will design equipment, run qualifying experiments, and develop production docs to enable seamless knowledge transfer.

The role requires 3 years of relevant experience, strong Python and Power BI skills, and familiarity with C#. Experience with robotics and AI-enabled models is a plus, and you will work in an Industry 4.0 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or scientific field equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced computing skills; proficiency in Python, Power BI and other languages.
• Knowledge in C# programming language is a plus.
• Experience with robotics foundation models, VLMs, VLA models and LLMs for industrial applications.
• Industry 4.0/5.0 awareness with prior project leadership in robotics/AI.
• Automation equipment troubleshooting knowledge and deep understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment, tools, fixtures to improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop experiments and tests to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results and report.
• Develop training and documentation for production to enable knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical guidance on software coding and development.
• Assist in validating data and deploying automation and process technology projects.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to reduce risks and issues.
• Adapt and learn new skills.
• Other duties assigned by leadership.
