Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract in Singapore, onsite in a medical device manufacturing environment. You will lead process improvement, automation initiatives and equipment development to enhance production efficiency.

Applicants should have hands-on engineering expertise in manufacturing, robotics, and Industry 4.0 projects, with strong Python and Power BI skills and knowledge of C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Power BI; knowledge of C# is an added advantage.
• Experience with automated equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with robotics programming, AI-assisted programming or Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop equipment, tools, fixtures and other solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop and execute experiments and testing protocols to qualify and validate manufacturing processes.
• Analyse test results, make recommendations and prepare technical reports.
• Support manufacturing process improvement and optimisation initiatives.
• Develop work instructions, training materials and technical documentation for production teams.
• Provide technical support relating to software coding and development for manufacturing applications.
• Support validation activities by gathering, analysing and documenting relevant data.
• Assist in the implementation of automation and advanced manufacturing technology projects.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing risks, issues and process concerns.
• Support troubleshooting of automated equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Contribute to Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives, including robotics, automation and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and project partners to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Power BI; knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous.
• Knowledge of C# is an added advantage.
• Experience with automated equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing systems.
• Experience in robotics programming, AI-assisted programming or other Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives will be advantageous.
• Exposure to robotics foundation models, Vision Language Models (VLM), Vision Language Action (VLA) models or Large Language Models (LLMs) applied to industrial environments is a plus.
• Experience with CAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is preferred.
• Experience working with laboratory or industrial equipment is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of statistical techniques and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with vendors and project stakeholders is advantageous.
• Knowledge of FDA or other applicable regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturing is preferred.
