CopperCo Talent Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead AMHS deployment and maintenance within a semiconductor fab.
You will integrate OHT, stockers, and conveyors with the central MCS, supporting on-site installation, FAT/SAT, and system commissioning for the new fab phase. The role requires 3+ years in automation for semiconductor facilities, strong knowledge of SECS/GEM and HSMS, and a proven execution mindset to coordinate with vendors and tackle engineering
System Integration: Oversee the integration of AMHS components—including Overhead Hoist Transports (OHT), Stockers, and automated conveyors, with the central Material Control System (MCS).
Project Execution: Collaborate with equipment vendors and cross-functional teams during on-site installation, factory/site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), and system commissioning for the new fab phase.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune routing algorithms, traffic management, and dispatching rules to maximize throughput and minimize wafer delivery latency.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware-software interface issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of material flow across the cleanroom.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all AMHS installations adhere to stringent semiconductor cleanroom standards, ergonomic guidelines, and site safety protocols.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on automation engineering experience within a semiconductor fabrication facility, focusing specifically on AMHS deployment or maintenance.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in standard fab communication protocols (SECS/GEM, HSMS) and familiarity with major Material Control System (MCS) platforms.
Execution Mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines, coordinate with third-party vendors, and resolve engineering challenges during active construction and expansion phases.
