Job summary

ChemLex is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its new automated R&D and production facility in Singapore. You will be responsible for operation and maintenance of automated hardware on site, and for designing and installing new systems as the company scales.

The role emphasizes developing PLC programs, debugging HMI interfaces, and producing electrical cabinet drawings, with international travel for training as needed. Strong collaboration and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Control, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of servo control, stepper motor control, and familiarity with robotic motion control.
• Proficient in PLC programming and hardware, with independent development and design capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training.

Responsibilities

• Design overall electrical solutions and select electrical components.
• Develop and debug PLC programs, design and debug HMI, assemble and debug electromechanical systems, and perform network communication debugging.
• Design and produce electrical control cabinet drawings.
• Oversee system installation, commissioning, and preparation of technical documents and related drawings.
• Communicate with electrical system suppliers on technical matters.
