Job summary

entrust public accounting corporation in Singapore is seeking an audit professional to perform statutory audits for private limited companies, and non-statutory audits for various clients, including charities and solicitors’ accounts.

You will assist in preparing certified financial statements and compliance reports, discuss findings with clients, and help identify key performance indicators and tax computations. A strong foundation in accounting standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITE in Accounting/Finance discipline required.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance discipline required.
• ACCA/ICAEW/SCAQ graduates or currently pursuing.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an audit industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform statutory audits of Private Limited Companies under FRS, SAS and the Companies Act.
• Perform non-statutory audits of management corporations, solicitors’ accounts, charities and other areas of industry.
• Prepare certified financial statements, compliance reports, and special purpose audit engagements.
• Discuss audit findings with clients and issue management letters addressing internal control weaknesses.
• Identify key financial ratios and performance indicators for business assessment.
• Compute and review clients’ corporate tax liabilities.
• Undertake other duties or special assignments as required.

Job description

Major Duties:

• Perform statutory audits of Private Limited Companies in compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore Standards on Auditing and provisions of the Companies Act.
• Perform non-statutory audits of management corporations, solicitors’ accounts, charitable organizations and other industry.
• Involve in the preparation of the certified financial statements, compliance report and special purpose audit engagement.
• Discuss with clients on the audit of their accounts especially the weaknesses in their internal control system and prepare and issue management letters to clients.
• Assist in identifying key financial ratios that are to be used by the business to assess performance and other relevant performance indicators.
• Compute and review the computation of clients’ corporate tax liabilities.
• Various other duties including undertaking special assignments as required.

Qualifications:

Formal education:

• Diploma/ITE in an Accounting/Finance discipline
• Degree in Accounting/Finance discipline
• ACCA/ICAEW/SCAQ graduates (or currently pursuing)

Relevant work experience:

• at least 3 years’ experience in an audit industry

Technical skills:

• Demonstrated an understanding of the Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore Standards on Auditing and provisions of the Companies Act.
