Job summary

Qualifications

• Polytechnic Diploma or GCE A Level or equivalent.
• Certification in Audiometry is an advantage.
• Basic IT proficiency (MS Office, clinical systems).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic audiological assessments and basic hearing aid support.
• Perform daily calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist in scheduling and triaging patients for hearing aid appointments.
• Review inventory and assist with billing records and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the ENT Clinic.

Statement of Purpose

This position supports the Audiology service in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) Clinic by providing diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid and administrative support, to ensure high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

• Polytechnic Diploma or GCE 'A' Level or equivalent
• Certification in Audiometry (e.g. Basic Industrial Audiometry) will be an advantage
• Basic IT proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Office, clinical systems)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Demonstrates positive, accountable, and proactive attitude
• Committed to continuous learning and improvement

Key responsibilities

Clinical duties

• Conduct diagnostic audiological assessments, such as Otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry, Otoacoustic Emission, Acoustic Reflexes, Eustachian Tube Dysfunction test, Aided Audiometry etc.
  Provide basic hearing aid support, including troubleshooting, changing of parts, and coordination of repairs

Administration and Operation

• Perform daily calibration of equipment
• Maintenance of office & test equipment
• Refill and stock take of inventories of accessory and consumable supplies
• Review and verify Hearing Aid Inventory and billing records to ensure compliance with established procedure
• Assist in scheduling of patients' appointment
• Triage patients for hearing aid appointment
